I'm a big believer in Mangum, but if he's physically not ready to go if/when Taysom goes down, then I think Hoge will be able to put in respectable performances. I seriously loved Hoge's film. It will be a race between Mangum getting ready physically and Hoge getting ready mentally to take serious D1 snaps at QB. Hopefully, Taysom stays healthy at least long enough for Mangum to prepare his body for the rigors of playing D1 ball. And, hopefully, Hoge will be able to redshirt.
Even though we have NO depth at QB at the moment, and even though we'll be starting the 2015 season with only a recently returned missionary and a new freshman for backups, the QB position is about to get big upgrades. We're going to have a nice run of quality QB play for the foreseeable future, looks to me.
