This is a great idea on so many levels.
I would change one thing though. Start after the holidays. First, it wouldn't be competing so much with football.
Second, players wouldn't have to deal with two sets of finals in the same season.
Third, it's better for the fans. You don't have to deal with the holidays and basketball at the same time.
I think it would be great for the sport.
