Big 5 usually has the Mossberg 500 with the 18 inch self defense barrel and 28 hunting/skeet barrel on sale for around $300. Great shotgun for a first time gun buyer.

Not a fan of cheap guns. IMO spend a little more and get a Rem 870 or similar
