Four years ago I got the stupid idea to start a Cougarboard tournament, picking 64 prolific posters, seeding them 1 to 16, and letting everyone vote on who was best. Here were the results:

We're taking it to the next level. Over the four weeks in conjunction with the NCAA tournament, I will be hosting the tournament to end all tournaments. Not just one 64-entry bracket, but four 64-entry brackets for a grand total of 256 Cougaboard Posters! Behold, the brackets!

I want the tournament to end about the same time as the big dance, so here's the schedule:

• Tuesday, March 10th: Spirit Bracket round 1
• Wednesday, March 11th: Tradition Bracket round 1
• Thursday, March 12th: Honor Bracket round 1
• Friday, March 13th: No DUI's Bracket round 1

• Monday, March 16th: Spirit Bracket round 2
• Tuesday, March 17th: Tradition Bracket round 2
• Wednesday, March 18th: Honor Bracket round 2
• Thursday, March 19th: No DUI's Bracket round 2

The final sixteen from each bracket will then be combined into the championship bracket.

• Monday, March 23rd: Championship round 1
• Wednesday, March 25th: Championship round 2
• Monday, March 30th: Sweet 16
• Wednesday, April 1st: Elite 8
• Friday, April 3rd: Final Four
• Monday, April 6th: Championship

So, last time I did this, many feeling were hurt and suspensions were administered.  I will be hosting this in the "Nothing But Crap" category.  I know that El Jefe doesn't want this thing spamming up the board, so if you'd like to make a post about it, I suggest that you use the "Nothing But Crap" category as well so that those posters who don't want to bother with this can ignore the category for a few weeks.

That being said, I will post the first round of the Spirit bracket in exactly thirty minutes.  Let the madness begin!
