You guys that publicly root for teams like Gonzaga, this is the wrong board– we don't really want to hear about it.
Same for you weirdos who root for Utah "because it's okay when BYU's not playing them."

First, we don't want to hear about your fandom for teams who compete directly against BYU. Secondly the logic of Utah performing well doesn't hurt BYU when we're not playing them is just out right wrong. We still have to recruit against these guys.

I don't have anything personally against Utah (okay, maybe a little – it bothers me that the university systemically criticizes the church), Duke, Stanford or any other team. But we do recruit again some of these very same teams for good players and we even have to <gasp> play against them sometimes.

When I think about the great players we've lost over year over the years to teams like Duke and Stanford (and Utah) it makes me want to throw up.

I find no joy in rooting for these other teams. And I cannot comprehend why I would be answering a poll about which Duke player is which
about anything to anyone on BYU sports board.
