Players have personal ceilings, work ethic, etc... But what are the odds that multiple DBs actually got worse from one year to the next and it's all their fault... Not to mention it seems pretty known players don't want to work for him.
I wish they'd search for a a DB coach who maybe played the position. I question his ability to teach the little things, demand respect, and keep them disciplined.
