So much has happened in the last few years, and equally important, so much has not happened in the last few years.
Utah, TCU, Houston, Boise State, and Hawaii all went to BCS Bowl Games while we have not.

Utah and and TCU each went to Power 5 conferences, while we did not. Boise State, after the WAC folded, advanced to arguably the strongest mid major conference, the MWC.
We went Independent.

As an Independent, with mid major status, after being rejected by the SEC and the ACC as an Independent P5 team, while ND was immediately accepted as a P5 team,
finally last January the ACC reversed itself and accepted BYU as an Independent P5 type team for programing purposes.

While the SEC continued to reject us as a P5 team, even when the ACC changed it’s course and accepted us last January,
the SEC, in the past several days now changed it’s course as it now accepts us as an Independent P5 team for programing purposes.

So does the actions of those two stated P5 conferences make us an Independent P5 team to be accepted by all, equal to those P5 teams in a P5 conference, oor with the same status as ND ???

I think not. Do we now have the big P5 TV money that the P5 conferences teams get? I don’t think that we get $20 million per season like each team in the Big 12.
Isn’t it something like $8 million?

Do we have an automatic birth for the big 4 play off like the P5 conference teams and like N.D. I don’t think so.

So where do we go from here, and how long will it take to get there, and what must we do to make it happen?
I have my ideas, but for now, I would rather hear yours. Please reply.
