play basketball is non-existent.

Basketball is a worldwide sport. There are multiple Euro leagues. Basketball in Asia, Australia, South America, Canada... Uh, basically the whole world. And considering church membership is larger outside the US than in...
South America is big with basketball... Church membership is almost 4 million there.
Europe has half a million members.
Growing heavily in Africa.
Etc.

That's hilarious trying to limit BYU by saying "well we're not going to get many from Lithuania, Serbia, and Croatia." Wow those tiny little countries sure take up a lot of the world, aye?

Sorry but your statement is simply full of it. Basketball is a worldwide sport and the LDS church is a worldwide church. Not to mention the possibility of still landing some non lds players who either have LDS family or connections.
