Victory has never tasted sweeter?
That is sad. The victory might actually be a negative to the Jazz as it just helped them pass 3 teams in the East.

I understand your distaste for Kanter and his comments and I have no love for him or the Thunder. I would just hope as a fan that the sweetest tasting victory of all would be more meaningful than a victory to pull you within 9 games of the last playoff spot with 9 games left to play. I for one would remember the game clincher against the Rockets in 1997 to go to the NBA finals. Stockton had 25 and 13 while Malone finished with 24 and 11 as the Jazz avoided a game 7 by beating the Rockets in Houston.

I understand that losing on purpose is dumb and stupid, but in the long run the most significant factor of trading Kanter may be the moving from #5 lottery position to #12. Gobert is a huge find and deserves more time to learn and prove himself, but the Jazz need another All-Star to have any chance at truly competing. Maybe karma will strike positively for them in the lottery.
