Please know that the only reason that I am saying something, is not because of my own situation, but because this program truly saved my life and made me fight my disease with strength that I didn't know that i possessed. I would love for your daughter to have the same experience that I did, and continue to have each year at our reunion. The Thursday's Hero program has grown so far beyond what anyone within the program had ever dreamed of it becoming, and is so much more than a football program. There are literally thousands of different amazing individuals(so much more deserving that i was), that have been nominated for this; and they usually are about a year or 2 out. Of course, they really try to honor true heroes, like your daughter; but sometimes it is nearly impossible to bring everyone down.
