The reason I asked is because there was a big breach
of security with some of the free on-line filings from 2013.
Commissioner Valentine of the Utah State Tax Commission actually uncovered the fraud after over 3,000 returns were flagged on the first day of on-line filing in Utah. It turns out that it was a nationwide scam--he alerted other states and within a few days all states were flagging returns. Victims were those that used the free online TurboTax product last year.
The thing that angers me--all the states have put precautions in place, but the IRS has done nothing to stop the fraud.
