I once made the mistake of going to St Augustine FL over Savannah.

Bad choice. Besides an old castle/fort thing there wasn't anything there of interest.

I'd highly recommend you go to Jekyll, Sea, and St. Simons islands in GA. Very pretty places. Then go to Savannah, don't waste time in northern Florida. Salt Lake City is exciting compared to Jacksonville.

Go to the panhandle of FL for the beaches or gulf coast
