stats don't tell the whole story especially with defensive players
Byu fans have been blessed with guards who are mega stat line guys the last few years. Just because a guy doesn't throw down pts or assists like KC, Jimmer, Carlino or Jackson Emery doesn't mean they aren't a good guard. All those guys are great at their respective positions, and I hope we byu fans realize that.

One stat that can't be measured well night to night is how the opposing players game suffers when he goes against you. Maybe this isn't the greatest example as he has a good stat line (which you seem to care the most about) but take Gary Bell Jr. at Gonzaga. He averages 9 to 10 pts a game which is respectable and good. But what BYU fans remember him for is his ability to give Tyler (I'm an elite scorer) Haws fits in games because of the defense he plays. Frank was maturing into that kind of a player. He got better in other categories especially the guard oriented ones every year. He even rebounded well as a guard.

Him leaving isn't the end of the world but he was a good player who improved every season and doesn't deserve the crap thrown at him on the board.
