Instead, they could have said simply that BYU didn't work out for Frank, and he had decided to transfer. They certainly didn't have a problem telling a reporter that Isaac had been forced out. I think they were genuinely surprised by Frank's departure. I'm sure they knew Frank was struggling, but it sounds like they didn't think it was as bad as it appears to have been.
