Part of my childhood was spent in the shadows of the Wasatch Mountains. I attended both U of U football camps and BYU football camps during middle school years. I also attended BYU's speed and power camp back in the day during high school. I thought both football camps were great, but I personally enjoyed BYU's camp more (it might've been because of the BYU creamery ice cream, the belly flop contests at the pool, the hot girls attending the other camps on campus, and belgian waffles). I've also had a lot of friends attend BYU. I dated a girl that went to BYU and we formed great memories climbing the fence to get into LES late one night;)

I have an uncle that has season tickets. I've only been fortunate enough to attend 3 games in person, which were awesome! Unfortunately one of them, I wore a U of U hoodie to cover my chipmunk face after wisdom extraction. It felt very eerie. It was the only hoodie I had (long story short--had lived in utah, but at this time was coming from arizona where I had attended high school) and I got it from attending U of U's fiesta bowl. Some may say this is heresy, but I tell you now I can easily root for the Yewts so long as they're not playing BYU. Sorry if you have a problem with this, but I think you'll find most former players & coaches want to watch "good" football while still maintaining a deep love for their favorite team (they respect the game). I just say that as a side note because it really doesn't matter whether its Utah or any other school that's not playing BYU, I'll root for a good game.

The older I become the more passionate I become about BYU. I identify with its mission and standards more than I do with any other school. I attended BYU-I online for a year and received my bachelor's from them (this gives me a semi-connection alumni-wise).

Lastly, I honestly can say I've felt really good every time I've been on campus. I can't pin the reason why. It could be because I didn't attend, maybe because I was excited to see a former friend or a really cute girl (highly likely), maybe because I hold formal higher-education in high regards and believe BYU is one of the best at delivering it at least in their undergraduate schools, or because I just simply feel good on campus.
