Why a 2009 528? Because it's a BMW?
Are you Persian and have to have a Benz or BMW just for the sake of having one as a status thing (I heard that from a Persian gal once and after she pointed it out, I realized she was pretty accurate on her stereotype).

As a BMW owner, let me give you my opinion.

A 2009 528 isnt a particularly fast or great performing car (a newer Camry or Accord would do just as good if not better). It is far less reliable and it gets worse gas milage.

Personally, I would never own a non-M BMW. They just aren't "that special". They might handle a tiny bit better than an Accord because of RWD, but that also makes it much worse in the snow. And if you are looking at a 528, my guess is that you aren't looking for a performance car.

I guess I could also say the 550 and 335 is pretty quick too, but not having the M5 or M3 would just leave a lot of "what if..." Thoughts in my mind.

If status is what you are looking for, buy an older Acura TL. Great reliability (accord) but looks good and is considered a "luxury brand". If it isn't "luxury" enough for the people you hang out with or the people you are trying to impress, a 3 generation old 528 isn't going to do it either.
