FWIW, in 2004, the last time Brady went with the Pats to the white house, he was

not married and only after the White House visit did he start dating Moynahan seriously (the mother of his first kid). It would have been inappropriate for him to not go based on a previously scheduled family thing since he didn't really have a family of his own then. Now, I have no problem with it, in fact, I applaud him for choosing his family.
