Either you can play a more demanding schedule or you can't.
If you want a good season, maybe even a special season you beat all of the following:
Boise, UConn, East Carolina, Cincinnati, Wagner, Fresno State, Utah State and San Jose State
Then comes the opportunity to play four P5 schools on the road. All of which have good to great traditions.
Nebraska, UCLA, Michigan, Missouri.
Beat all the teams you should beat and split your P5 road games and finish 10-2. I think this is reasonable if everyone stay healthy and the defense comes together. I would be thrilled with this and BYU would have an outside chance at a NY6 game. BYU needs to take the next step and make it to a NY6 game. They need to taste success and bring everything that comes along with it ($$$, exposure, recruiting, etc.).
