Sabonis was pretty washed out by the time he got to the NBA, but he probably was

one of the five best players in the world when he was younger. If he had played his whole career in the NBA, he'd likely be considered in the very top tier of all-time NBA centers. The Soviets really ruined him. I'm glad he at least got to cash in for a few years in the NBA, despite the injuries.
