I wonder what happens to JM if he gets drafted by the Chargers, Bills or 49ers instead of Ditka's bears. I remember the panic in Cougar nation after JM got hurt in Boulder, CO and was replaced by Steve Young. Steve didn't really learn how to throw a forward pass until he left the Bucs so watching him run around in circles avoiding tackles after seeing JM run a real passing attack was a tiny bit painful. Steve was much better in '82 and then '83 but overall JM is the gold standard and SY has a good claim to second. Boscoe and Sarkasian though were under rated a bit in my opinion.
