its pretty obvious isnt it?
Missions + the honor code. Taking 2 of your crucial developmental years to go on a mission, and removing yourself from all potential skill growth (no practicing/studying, priorities obviously elsewhere) really hurts your chances of making the pros. Not saying its the wrong choice to go on a mission, but it definitely hurts pro potential
