The first problem is that these guys are welterweights. People want to see heavyweights and there hasn't been an interesting heavyweight matchp since Tyson/Holyfield. Other weight classes can be fun for most people but you need some great heavys for the sport to thrive.

The second problem was nailed by Reggie before the fight, that is that the fight is 5 years too late. Pacman had a shot back then. At least it would have been competitive.
