BYU is paying $2.84 million per year in COA
If I did my math right, and BYU has 632 scholarship athletes, then $4500 x 632 = $2,844,000.00. Hitting the COA hard is important to staying competitive as the gulf between the haves and the have-nots increases.

Not all of those athletes get the $4,500. Cut your # in half and that's about it

They are only paying the partial ratio for partial scholies.
