Ultron had so much promise as a terrifying nemesis, but it was not developed.

The ending scene with the chunk of earth was lame. The whole focus on saving people over fighting the bad guy seemed to diminish the ending considerably. And the hunk of earth was never going to cause much more destruction than a simple crater. Meteors are damaging because of their speed from space not the speed developed by earth's gravity, especially when people can still breathe and run around.

Where did this romance between Bruce Banner and Black Widow develop? Didn't the hulk try to kill her in the last movie and Bruce seemed annoyed with Natasha's lying? For it to be a storyline in this movie seemed forced and unnatural and took up too much time in the movie. The natural chemistry was with Captain America as was seen in the Winter Soldier. Lame idea.

Too many characters. The development of Vision at the same time as the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver seemed too much especially when coupled with the development of the Villain. None were done well.

The nostalgic moments with Hawkeye moving towards retirement were so not needed.

Overall too many quirky and odd storyline plots and a lack of good development of or scenes with the characters, especially the new characters, made this film unsettling.

It was entertaining, but not great.
