Really brave of him. Kid should take no flack from us, whatever his decision.
I'm not even a hugely pro-mission guy (my kids will be more cautioned than pressured), but I believe it CAN be a very honorable way to spend one's life.
Congratulations to him. That's a big decision for a kid with so many pressures to go contrary.
