I once enjoyed Monson. Then I enjoyed him on occasion. I won't click his byline these days and don't miss reading him at all.

He has some talent as a wordsmith and can entertain on occasion. But his insight doesn't go beyond that of what can be found in a typical Cougarboard thread, and Monson is every bit as reactionary and juvenile as we are on our board's worst days. In short, the guy says the same stuff we do at the same time we say it. Whether he does so a bit more artfully or not is up for debate.

I rather appreciate those that post summaries of his tripe of late--it saves me a trip the Trib site. I've gotten by rather well without that crimson-colored, yewt-kissing, BYU bashing rag and its pondscum commenters. Thank you summary guys!
