Hi everyone,

So, the old DVD player that we had in the car has decided that it no longer wishes to work. Around town that's not a problem of course, however we are going on a long car trip down to California in a month and a half and it is not an option to do it without an entertainment device (yes, I know I didn't have them when I was a kid, but it's as much or more for the parents as it is the kids......)

Anyways, it occurs to me that in the year 2015 there is no need for a DVD player anymore, and I can just use an old cellphone to stream media to the screen....so in essence all I really need is a display (and no dvd player). I would think this should have the effect of lowering cost, or at least creating a better quality/dollar ratio. However...I just don't seem to know where to start looking for that. Any google search that I do just takes me to the old fashioned and expensive DVD options. I don't need that....

Does anyone have any ideas on where I can start looking for a display?
