BYU admissions for kids on the autism spectrum. I've been looking at BYU's
website but can't find anything about admissions for kids on the autism spectrum. Or anything about special needs kids at all. Do they admit kids who are autistic? Do they have any special services for these kids?

I ask because my son who is autistic is high functioning and in the 9th grade and has expressed some interest in trying to get into BYU.

I'm assuming the admission requirements would be the same so far as GPA and ACT scores go. However, if they get admitted are they on their own? Do they get any support so far as helping them through the process of going to college and college life in general.

The reason I'm asking is that some Universities are now requiring their students studying Psychology/Sociology/etc. to be a mentor to autistic students. They help them each day with just simple things like ensuring they get to class, understand their homework assignments, etc. It gives them a chance to work with autistic kids in real life instead of just reading about it in a book.

If anyone has any advise please let me know or if you know of someone I can talk to at BYU please BM me.

TIA
