You can't make an NFL player out of a non NFL athlete. You simply can't. And if you are the rawest guy on the planet...see Ziggy Ansah...but you have measurables they'll take you all day. No one "develops" what got Ziggy drafted 5th. He was born with it. In fact, they ignored how much he sucked in terms of football skills because of those measurables.
BYU didn't "develop" Dennis Pitta. He's one of those rare guys who actually grew into his body as a missionary...but the athleticism was going to come no matter what school he went to.
You recruit NFL players...you don't develop them. If it were that easy, every player Nick Saban recruits would be in the NFL...
