I would really love to do a real analysis on this
The data would need all RM's, their recruiting rankings, the team and coach they played for, and their draft status/ranking as an outcome variable.
I think it would also be interesting to compare RM's to non RM's controlling for recruit rankings and coach and see if there is a mission effect.
Those two analyses would tell us quite a bit, IMO.
