Or does the rep get to come into the OR because that's where the surgeons are that the rep is calling on.

I'd be very annoyed if some unrelated person came into the OR during my knee replacement to try to sell the surgeon on the wisdom of a new artificial hip. I'm less concerned that he is there during my procedure and more annoyed that he could potentially be distracting the doctor during my procedure.

Of course, if I knew more about the blaring rock music, the "guess what I did last night" stories and other things already going on between the medical personnel that are already happening in the OR, maybe I wouldn't have that much more concern about the device rep...
