It filters at the router level (so works for Wi-Fi'd devices--but NOT cellular data devices!) at three different pre-set levels (like IE's security settings of High, Medium and Low) or you can generate a "white list" of sites that can be accessed, essentially blocking all other addresses but those. It's pretty slick.
