“As far as (the schedule) affecting us last year, I think zero effect,” Briles said. “I think if you win the Big 12 and go undefeated, you’ll be in the final four. There’s no question about that.”

Well, yes, that’s a plan, I suppose. But no Big 12 team has gone unbeaten in conference play since the league went to the nine-game conference schedule, and only one Pac-12 team has done it in the nine years that conference has played nine league games.
