I tried TireBuyer.com one time. I got what looked like a pretty good deal on
some tires, and they shipped them to a local Big O who installed them for cheap. But the tires wore down crazy fast- not sure why (they were Uniroyal Tiger Paw Touring- very highly rated).

Anyway, this method was pretty cheap, but not cheap enough for me to use them again. All of my other tires I have just bought directly from a local (non-chain) tire shop that does a lot of my maintenance work anyway. Its marginally more expensive, but its nice to get the free rotations and junk like that.
