Technically, there is no intentional foul
There are flagrant fouls - flagrant 1 being a foul that's too hard ("unnecessary contact") but results from a legitimate attempt at a basketball play, and flagrant 2 being a foul that's too hard and doesn't result from a legitimate attempt at a basketball play ("unnecessary and excessive contact").

It seems like flagrant 1 should be "excessive" and flagrant 2 should be "excessive and unnecessary," but I'm just going off what nba.com says.

The nice thing about a team technical is that no one will be ejected or disciplined for it.
