Giving the World Cup to Qatar was just so stupid on multiple levels. If they would have taken our bribes, and given us the 2022 Cup, there wouldn't be a federal case and they wouldn't be in trouble now. But you don't refuse the US in favor of a country like Qatar and expect them not to take action.
