Biggest obstacle for BYU and 7s is Sunday play.
I understand that was an obstacle in 15s for some time but it's much easier to move a single game from Sunday to Saturday. A college 7s tournament is generally hosted over 2 days, Saturday and Sunday. I don't think any 7s host is eager to move from a Sat/Sun schedule to a Fri/Sat schedule.
