I dropped my Macbook off to them a week ago Monday; the machine was experiencing some serious video issues (pretty sure the video chip was on the fritz). They said it would take 2-3 days to do the diagnostics. Good timing, because I was heading out on vacation the next day.

Because I was on vacation, my business partner was the one who would take the call for the diagnostics test and make the decision on what to do after that. By Friday of last week, they hadn't called. So he called them, and they said they needed to run diagnostics on it and it would be ready until the following Wednesday.

It's now Friday, and no call. So I head in there, and I am given the excuse run around--including some statements that I know were not true. The clerk said the technician said that they could run some more diagnostics, because the ones they had run showed there were no problems (if your initial diagnostics don't find anything, wouldn't you naturally run the other ones). Then they told me that according to everything they've seen, the computer is running fine. At that point, I had them return the computer to me, and I took it home and turned it on. Immediately, the video problems were evident (and completely disruptive as well). All they had to do was boot into one of the operating systems, attempt to login, and the problem showed itself.

It's pathetic really. Anyone know a good Macbook service center?
