That's interesting to hear. I'm from Oregon, and though the state is
pretty liberal, I have not heard any sentiment that BYU would be blocked from an invitation.
Actually, from many I talk to, they would have had rather BYU was invited...plus, many think Yewtah is a LDS school. Obviously the Presidents of all Pac12 schools know the difference, but the general public in Oregon is not out-to-get religious institutions like the Bay Area school (faculty, student body, etc.).
