Tanner hasn't seen a football field since HS

and Elite 11 camp. This fall will be the first time to be on the field with at least some speed coming at him and having him think and act. I believe IF Taysom goes down this year, BYU will be in a world of hurt simply due to no experienced backup...like the upside of Tanner though, he will be a dandy of a QB. Tanner simply needs game experience.

Magnum played spring ball before his mission, and was terrific in the scrimmage.
