BYU, Utah, Boise State, TCU, and possibly some combination of Air Force, CSU, UNLV, and SDSU to the BIG-12 to form a conference that looked something like:

BYU
Utah
Boise State
TCU
Kansas (assuming they hadn't been poached by someone for their basketball team)
Kansas State
Texas Tech
Baylor
Oklahoma State (if they hadn't been invited to the PAC-X with Oklahoma)
Iowa State

Air Force ??
CSU ??
UNLV ??
SDSU ??

This conference would have definitely merited a BCS auto-bid, and would have transitioned into the 5th P5 conference.

This would have been a really, REALLY good hoops conference, too! With BYU, Utah, UNLV, SDSU, Kansas, Baylor, and Iowa State, that could easily be a four tourney bid conference.
