We recently watched the latest Star Trek together and I was explaining that it was a prequel to a previous movie...so we sat down to watch it tonight.

First...the opening credits seemed to go on forever and were very boring.
When the movie did finally start...the actors were ancient and frankly...most were not very good. (Kirsty Alley as a captain of a Star Ship?)
The final straw for him was the boring monologs and slow plot development.

We ended up shutting it off after 20 minutes and selected something else.
