How do conferences shift if the B12 falls apart and the P5 becomes the P4?
This is all hypothetical, of course, and likely wouldn't happen for another few years at least. Let's hypothetically say that Oklahoma (or someone else) decides to leave the B12 which causes a domino effect. Let's also assume that current SEC/ACC/B1G/P12 stay put (only P5 conference getting poached is B12). Where does everything stand when the dust settles?

Oklahoma starts things off by bolting for the SEC. However, a condition of them moving on is for Oklahoma State to join them. The Big Ten also makes the push for 16 teams. They decide to add Kansas (current AAU member). Their other top 2 targets include both Notre Dame and Texas. However, those schools decide to go elsewhere and the Big Ten ultimately decides to settle with Iowa State due to their AAU status (remember that other P5 schools are off-limits in this scenario). The ACC adds Notre Dame as a full participating member. West Virginia is added as the 16th ACC member. The Pac-12 ends up adding Texas, Baylor, Texas Tech, and Kansas State to become a 16-team conference. TCU ends up being left out and joining the AAC.
