the shifts for some of the kids seemed pretty tough despite the activity
the newspaper seller didn't know how to make change, so it was at least a bad idea for the newspaper to hire him.
there's a huge difference between mowing the lawn and going to a factory (which were super dangerous at the time for even adults) every day to work a full shift.
