It's not about submarines, but about the nuke world and I spent a lot of time as a weapons officer. Crimson Tide doesn't do a bad job of portraying aspects of everyday life on the sub. Writers for the movie sailed with us for a week or two doing research for the movie, but there wasn't much similarity between the crew in the movie and our crew.
