I think all of the above (including Nick Howell) are quality individuals and hope that they will have great careers in coaching. But they are not the kind of coaches that bring in new ideas and a proven track record at big-time programs. Maybe we were spoiled with the incredible coaching talent that LaVell was able to bring in, but when a coach can establish a culture that incorporates other viewpoints and experiences from seasoned coaches with a diverse background, it can have a transformative impact on a program (again LaVell being the classic example). I haven't seen that in Bronco's assistant coaching hires. Maybe I'm wrong.
