Friend of friend watched his wife die on that river from the water pressure collapsing her lungs against a tree on which she was trapped after falling off her tube. Her life jacket was caught on the branches with her head above water and he couldn't free her because of the river pressure on he back into the tree. I realize this is a downer of a post. But I had to share because I always viewed floating the Provo as so tame and risk free.
