Another question
Why is it still leaking when the valve is off, both at the programming box and in the ground? I just turned the water off to stop the flow, but is there a way to leave it on so it still runs my other stations?

Water witch. Not really joking, it's worked for me, but then I'm a gross payer.

Can you take the sprinkler head off- cap it- then watch for water

Tree root or bad glue job perhaps? Yes, I'd start towards the top.
