two exchanges at the start of the snap...Center to QB. Then for a little while in the QB hands until either pass or run...It is the NON QB hand that you have to guess which will get the ball (as the game moves along, you get a feel for patterns). That is where it is different. In basketball, all five will at least get touches all game AND at a faster pace (due to playing dimensions, game itself, transition).

There is your FIVE that typically will touch the ball, all game. With Center and QB the most touches-obviously. Football, you have to guard those five (man or zone) with BYU typically playing zone more comfortably than man (personal and scheme). With a BYU offense like this year, BYU has the upside to really take over a game, if behind, but it has to produce more TD's than FG's in the blue zone. BYU can do that this year, no question in my mind. IF BYU offense doesn't produce more TD's this year over last, then expect BYU to lose more games....which isn't a good sign.
