Fast enough to get behind the LB's and not be caught by them in the open field.
When he caught the ball in the open field and on screens he was almost always tackled by DB's. About what you would expect from a D1 TE prospect.

I think he looks slow because his stride is long. He doesn't have a lot of quick movement in his running mechanics so he look slower than he is. Kinda like Harvey Unga, more speed than first impression with good footwork. Good body control.

His speed is not evident in the "eye" test but he caught an awfull lot of deep passes to not have reasonable speed. My guess is 4.8 40.
